This lightweight viewer reports file information and a JPEG EXIF marker; it is not a complete decoder for every metadata format.
What image metadata can contain
Images may include dimensions, camera details, timestamps, GPS coordinates, software information, colour profiles, and editing history. Availability depends on the file format and how it was exported.
Know the viewer’s limits
A marker check is not the same as decoding every EXIF field. A result of “not found” does not prove that an image contains no metadata, and other formats store metadata differently.
Privacy before sharing
- Remove or scrub location and device metadata when appropriate.
- Check the visible image content and filename as well as embedded fields.
- Use a trusted metadata-removal workflow when you need a stronger guarantee.
Tip: Keep an untouched original privately and create a cleaned copy for public sharing.
